Performed full CFD analysis on car with Ansys Fluent, including determining aerodynamics of design and experimenting with deformable surfaces to optimize vehicle performance at any speed
Land Yacht Club September // 2011 – May 2014
An experimental project to design and build a solely wind powered winged glider that runs on wheels, with the goal to break the land speed record.
In charge of steering and suspension system design, as well as worked with all teammates on general look of the craft.
Integrated Product Development, Green Energy Initiative for Becton Dickinson (BD) // January 2013 – December 2013
Yearlong project to revamp energy supply for BD’s office; obtain greater efficiencies, increased environmental benefit, cost savings
Successfully developed a working model to assess energy consumption in all of their facilities (eQUEST Energy Simulation Tool), which will decrease energy by 20% over four years, saving them almost $1 million with an additional $2 million in incentives.
Completed Project, Swept Forward Wing // September 2012 – December 2012
Constructed swept forward model wing during semester long project, designed for maximum stiffness utilizing minimal material
Wind tunnel tested model to resist torsion, proved that we had an excellent strength to weight ratio.
