Max’s 1991 BMW 318i Project Car // May 2019 – Present
- Started with fixing minor issues, re-tapping oil pan, suspension component refresh, rebuilding 3-piece wheels, fluids, new clutch and
flywheel. - Summer 2020 swapped engine and transmission for 1996 E36 M3 powertrain in two months.
- New suspension, all new bushings (entire car).
- Car has been stripped for repaint and repainted.
- Full assembly complete and car now runs and drives.
- Next steps are AC components replaced to allow for R134a usage and dash and headliner reupholstery.
